Confined space medical support · Rescue & complex operations

Paramedic support
for high-risk environments.

HCPC-registered paramedic and medical support for confined-space rescue, difficult-access, industrial, rope-access and other specialist operations where clinical judgement must work alongside operational discipline.

How Compass supports you

Confined-space and difficult-access medical support that understands the environment.

Complex operations demand credible integration with the competent rescue team, a shared plan and absolute clarity about who controls each part of the response.

Compass scopes work against the site, hazards, rescue plan, access constraints, communications, casualty pathway and the competence required — then deploys only where the assignment sits within verified capability.

Confined space medical cover

On-site paramedic support for high-risk confined-space operations, informed by current City & Guilds high-risk confined-space entry and control-entry qualifications.

Rope-access environments

Clinical capability for rope-access settings following completion and independent assessment of IRATA Level 1 training, working under the required Level 3 supervision.

Planned rescue provision

Integration with the appointed rescue team, site management and agreed emergency arrangements rather than reliance on an improvised response.

Industrial & difficult-access medical support

Clinical planning and paramedic deployment for remote, restricted-access, industrial or otherwise challenging environments where normal access and evacuation may be limited.

Clinical planning resources

For the planning principles behind this service, read Clinical Planning for High-Risk Confined Space Rescue and Get Them Out – But Then What?, including the Clinical Readiness Field Pack.

Clear service boundaries

Compass does not represent itself as a standalone technical rescue team. Rescue responsibility, supervision, equipment, systems of work and site control must sit with appropriately competent organisations and personnel. Rope-access availability begins only after successful training, assessment and certification.
